Devavānī’s main objective is to foster and promote the study of Sanskrit and of the traditions (literary, philosophical, scientific, etc.) that have used it as a means of expression. Three specific paths of action are set out for this purpose: education, exchange of knowledge, and diffusion of Sanskrit studies. In the area of education, the Devavānī team has devised a pedagogical method that allows students from different backgrounds and of diverse levels to progress in the study of Sanskrit and its literature in a practical and gradual manner. In the area of exchange of knowledge, Devavānī runs activities that bring specialists and students together for the creation of work groups and the initiation of joint activities that optimize resources and knowledge. In the area of diffusion of Sanskrit Studies, Devavānī is interested in increasing the presence of the studies and translations done by Sanskrit scholars, both Spanish and foreign, to help reach an ever increasing public. The work of Devavānī, therefore, is aimed at a diverse public, so that each person can benefit from the services and courses that best fit their needs. -- All those people, such as students and teachers of Yoga or Ayurveda or other Indian disciplines, lovers of Indian culture, travelers, etc. who want an introduction to Sanskrit or any of its related cultural aspects. -- Students and graduates who aspire towards specialization in the classical culture of India or in some of its disciplines, for which Sanskrit has been the language of transmission. --Specialists in Indology who must complement their education with knowledge of Sanskrit or specific aspects of the language and its written tradition. |
